AMMAN — Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) Khalil Hajj Tawfiq said that the chamber will continue its efforts with Tunisian private sector institutions to develop the two countries' economic relations and move their commercial exchanges to "broader" levels to meet mutual aspirations.
During a meeting with outgoing Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Suhaili, Hajj Tawfiq said that recent years have witnessed joint Jordanian-Tunisian interest in strengthening economic relations by facilitating flow of goods between the two countries and exploring available trade and investment opportunities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported citing an ACC statement on Saturday.
ACC board members commended the envoy's efforts to enhance bilateral relations, especially in economic fields.
The envoy commended "distinguished and solid" Jordanian-Tunisian relations, thanks to the two countries' strong desire to reach "effective" partnership in a way that achieves their joint interests, mainly in the economic areas.
