ACC issued 35,881 certificates of origin in 2021

AMMAN — The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in 2021 to export goods totalled JD740 million compared with JD836 million in 2020, marking a decline of 11.4 per cent, the ACC announced on Saturday.
The ACC issued 35,881 certificates of origin in 2021, compared with 30,640 certificates in 2020, witnessing an increase of 17 per cent, the chamber said in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The ACC noted that a total of 9,384 certificates were issued for shipments exported to Saudi Arabia, followed by the UAE with 4,933, Oman with 2,332, Iraq with 1,504, and Egypt with 1,135.
The majority of exports last year went to Iraq, accounting for JD206 million, followed by Saudi Arabia with JD73 million, Egypt with JD70 million, the UAE with JD57 million and Oman with JD48 million.
