ACC certificates of origin reach JD742m as of October

AMMAN — The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in the first 10 months of 2022 to export goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries amounted to some JD742 million, compared with JD599 million for the same period last year.

According to ACC's statistical data announced on Saturday, and cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the number of certificates of origin issued by ACC in the January-October of 2022 reached 30,526, compared with 31,689 for the corresponding period of 2021.

Over the same period, the ACC's certificates targeted many countries, primarily Saudi Arabia with 7,722 certificates, Kuwait with 5,913, the United Arab Emirates with 4,097, Iraq with 1,153 and Egypt with 907.

In terms of value over the last 10 months of 2022, exports to Iraq amounted to JD188 million, Egypt to some JD98 million, Saudi Arabia at JD94 million, the United Arab Emirates at JD76 million and Kuwait at JD33 million, according to ACC figures.

As for re-exported foreign products, their value amounted to some JD320 million, while industrial, agricultural and Arab products’ exports reached JD187 million, JD143 million and JD60 million, respectively.
