9th Jordan International Mining Conference kicks off

AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Prince Hassan, senator and former prime minister Adnan Badran on Tuesday attended the launch of the ninth Jordan International Mining Conference.
During the event organised by the Jordan Engineers Association’s (JEA) mining and engineering division at the Dead Sea, Badaran highlighted the need to find solutions through research in the fields of gas and oil exploration, mining and shale projects and the optimisation of mineral resources to ensure water, food and energy security, notably in the renewable energy sector.
Badran, along with the conference stakeholders and supporters were honoured in recognition of their efforts at the end of the ceremony, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
