897 cartons of fireworks seized by customs

AMMAN — The Aqaba Customs Department foiled an attempt to smuggle a container laden with 897 cartons of fireworks, the Jordan Customs Department said on Wednesday.

The fireworks were seized and the case was referred to the prosecutor general.
