AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday endorsed a recommendation by its Infrastructure and Services Committee regarding a report on Treasury lands in the Dead Sea Development Area.
Under the resolution, 700 dunums will be allocated for the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) to build infrastructure ahead of distributing the land to Sweimeh residents.
The Municipal Affairs Ministry and JVA will be tasked with making a detailed structural blueprint for the area, dividing it into 1,000 housing units of 400-500 square metres each and ensuring the proper infrastructure and services are available.
