643 social security subscribers received disability compensation in 2014

AMMAN — A total of 643 Social Security Corporation (SSC) subscribers received compensation for partial and complete disabilities in 2014, the SSC said Sunday.
The total number of subscribers who have received similar compensation since the establishment of the SSC until the end of last year reached 19,612, at a cost of JD583 million, according to an SSC statement e-mailed to The Jordan Times.
For the disability compensation to be disbursed, subscribers must have ended their service with their employer and provided an end of service notice issued by the institution, or stopped their optional subscription.
