601 houses, sites to benefit from Fils Al Reef

AMMAN — In a meeting headed by Energy Minister Saleh Kharabsheh, the higher steering committee of the Fils Al Reef, a fee added to each kilowatt of electricity a household uses, on Sunday approved a list of 601 houses and sites to benefit from electricity delivery through the regular networks at a total cost of JD1.544 million.
According to the decision, 462 homes and locations will be provided with electricity through regular networks at a cost of JD1.402 million, and 139 homes and locations will be provided with electricity through alternative energy networks at a cost of JD142,000.
The subsidy targets communities in unincorporated areas as well as homes of underprivileged families and a number of farms and streetlights.
