AMMAN — The Jordan Geologists Association said Wednesday that 55 MPs signed a memorandum urging the Education Ministry to cancel its decision to exclude the subject of geology from the overall average of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi).
In the memo, the signatories warn that the decision will have negative repercussions on the economy, because it will lead to a shortage in human resources specialised in geology that can excavate local natural resources.
