AMMAN — The Jordan Times on Thursday distributes the 30th issue of Al Qibla newspaper, the mouthpiece of the Great Arab Revolt.

The four-page newspaper's editorial, published on the front page, highlights how the Revolt helped Arabs restore their glory and how all efforts to undermine them and their achievements have failed.

It also highlights how the situation of the Arabs improved after the Revolt, as they were no longer living under the control of others.

The 30th issue also features news articles republished from Swiss papers and translated into Arabic. The articles shed light on why the Arabs revolted against the Ottomans.

The paper, which stopped printing in 1924, also includes an at-a-glance section with news of other local, regional and international developments, such as in Austria, the UK and Germany.

The issue also covers economic and social news.

The distribution of Al Qibla by The Jordan Times and other local dailies is part of celebrations of the centennial of the Great Arab Revolt.
