AMMAN — Public Security Directorate's (PSD) inspection teams since Monday evening have closed 247 institutions and arrested 431 individuals in violation of defence orders, the directorate announced on Tuesday.
The PSD, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the inspection teams affiliated with the directorate are continuing with intensive tours to ensure adherence to defence orders.
The police also reminded the owners of shops, companies and institutions that under defence orders, they are obliged to take all precautionary measures inside their institutions to prevent any health violations, stressing that the owners are legally responsible for any violation within those facilities.
The director of the PSD on Monday ordered inspection teams across the Kingdom to inspect facilities, shops, institutions and public places and enforce defence orders “with no leniency”, Petra added.
