2020 records slight increase in honey production

AMMAN — The amount of honey produced in the Kingdom in 2020 went up 3 per cent to 326.3 tonnes, compared with 316.9 tonnes in 2019, the Department of Statistics (DoS) announced on Monday.
DoS, in its annual report sent to The Jordan Times, also said that the number of beekeepers in 2020 increased by 0.89 per cent to 1,475 compared with 1,462 beekeepers in 2019.
The department carries out the report once every year through visiting apiaries and meeting with beekeepers.
