‘20 injured in Irbid bus crash’

AMMAN — The Civil Defence Department (CDD) dealt with 168 road and fire accidents that caused one death and 86 injuries, as well as 571 medical emergencies over the previous 24 hours, a CDD statement said Tuesday. One man died in a vehicle collision in Maan, some 220km south of Amman, the statement said.
Some 20 people were injured when a public bus collided with a vehicle on the Irbid-Doqara road on Tuesday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. CDD cadres administered first aid and rushed the injured to the Princess Basma Hospital, where they were listed in fair condition.
Meanwhile, five people were injured, including three Yemenis, in a two-vehicle collision on the road to Zarqa University, Petra reported. They were also given first aid and taken to hospital, where they were listed in fair condition.
