18 arrested in ‘sedition case’ — source

AMMAN — Relevant authorities have arrested 18 people accused of attempting to destabilise the Kingdom in the "sedition case," a source at the State Security Court (SSC) said on Wednesday. Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the source said that the investigations with the defendants have concluded, and the case will be referred to the SSC.

SSC Public Prosecutor Brig. Gen. Hazim Majali on Tuesday announced that the court's Public Prosecution office had completed its investigation in the "sedition case". Majali added that the results of the investigation have revealed that involved individuals adopted different roles, which would constitute a clear threat to the Kingdom's security and stability.
