AMMAN — The Council of Ministers on Sunday approved establishing a 1,500-dunum disease prevention zone for cattle in Mohammadiya area in Maan, based on a recommendation from the Investment Council, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The project, implemented by the Hashemite Fund for Development of Jordan Badia, contributes to increasing the protection of the local market from communicable diseases. It includes establishing a regional market for livestock to make Jordan a centre for exporting Jordanian and non-Jordanian cattle to the region, especially Gulf countries.
