10th Jordan-GCC youth work meeting commences in Amman

AMMAN — The 10th meeting of the joint Jordan-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) working group in the field of youth work kicked off in Amman on Thursday. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth Hussein Jbour, has affirmed the depth of Jordan's relations with the GCC countries, noting that the partnership between the ministry and the GCC falls within the framework of the common aspirations to develop youth programmes, empower youth and boost their capabilities. The meeting, which was attended by the secretary generals of Ministers of Youth and Sports of the GCC countries and the representative of the GCC General Secretariat, discussed youth-related issues, including the outcomes of the meeting held last August between the General Secretariat, with a particular focus on people-to-people communication and youth work.Participants agreed to continue the Youth Leadership Development Training Programme, which will be held in Jordan every two years starting in 2025, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
