‘Gov’t considering alternative methods for tax law to achieve balance ‘

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Rajai Muasher on Saturday said that the Letter of Designation, which His Majesty King Abdullah directed to the government, focused on important pillars, namely, the comprehensive national renaissance that concerns the Jordanian society with all its components, especially youth.
Also among these pillars, he said, is initiating a national dialogue on the Income Tax Law with the aim of reaching a new economic approach that achieves justice, growth and the new social contract, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Muasher’s remarks came during a panel discussion, where he added that the government is considering applying alternative methods in relation to the tax law that achieve balance.
