More than one achievement
Nov 05,2014 - Last updated at Nov 05,2014
I recently read the article about an achievement, “Employees of Dead Sea hotels form ‘world’s largest floating image’” (The Jordan Times, October 31-November 1, 2014).
While the process may have been simple, I believe it could have a deeper effect on the citizens of the country.
The article carries joyful news that stirs pride. While this may pass as a minor achievement, the message it carries is that the nation could achieve larger triumph if it does not forget its responsibilities.
It also reminds citizens that they have reason to be proud of being part of the peaceful safe haven that is Jordan, placed in the middle of all the chaos in the Middle East.
As said, the event meant to communicate to the world the fact that Jordan is a peaceful place. It can also be used to stress the importance of giving one’s country a distinguished reputation.
It should inspire people to be successful in many fields, which may result in more productive future generations.
