Orange Jordan graduates first batch from Women Digital Centres programme

AMMAN — Orange Jordan, in partnership with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), on Wednesday held a ceremony for the first batch of graduates from its Women’s Digital Centres Programme.
The programme was held at five different locations affiliated with JOHUD, including the Queen Zein Al Sharaf Development Institute, JOHUD Social Support Centre in Amman and Princess Basma Development Centres in Madaba, Al Taibeh in Maan Governorate and Al Khalidiya in Mafraq Governorate, according to an Orange Jordan statement.
In total, 100 women received training in digital, management and entrepreneurship, in addition to how to build their startups and promote on social media, the statement said, adding that trainees were also assisted in their own income-generating projects.
The programme’s winning projects, which will receive finance grants, were announced during the graduation ceremony, the statement noted.
Orange Jordan CEO Thierry Marigny and Executive Director of JOHUD Farah Daghestani, also highlighted the programmes’ best projects during the ceremony.
