Sep 04,2019 - Last updated at Sep 04,2019
In implementation of the “Jordan Growth and Opportunity: The London Initiative 2019”, Middle East University (MEU) and the University of Strathclyde (UOS) are to officially launch the first UK-Jordanian joint Pharmacy Programme (MPharm) between the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University and its counterpart at the University of Strathclyde.
The programme represents a primary step in the current academic cooperation in higher education between Jordan and the UK.
Marking its launch, the Middle East University will host a ceremony on Saturday, September 14th, that will be attended by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Walid Maani, the ambassador of the United Kingdom to Jordan, Edward Oakden; chairman of MEU’s Board of Trustees Yacoub Nasereddin; and the university’s President Mohammad Al Hileh.
On behalf of the University of Strathclyde, its Vice Chancellor Jim McDonald will be attending. The MPharm programme will be jointly taught between the two faculties in a (3+2) format.
Students will spend the first three years of the programme in Jordan at MEU, and afterwards continue the remaining two years in the UK, thus obtaining a joint certificate from both universities.
